LUKE
Luke has always loved anime since he first saw his brother watching Naruto in 2002. Since then, he’s slowly entrenched himself in any genre of anime that interests him. He has a deep adoration for Miyazaki films and will always find joy in those. When it’s not, it’s likely one of the newer shonens that’s currently airing.
JOEL
Joel was absolutely enthralled with anime, when in 2012 Luke showed him Attack on Titan. Before this Joel was an idiot and thought anime was for kids or weirdos. Joel then saw the light and began to deviate off the path his friends intended to a full blown lover of all things anime. He reads manga weekly, never watches dubs (unless his friends need/want too because he loves them), and has watched every genre...yes EVERY genre of anime there is. Joel just doesn’t understand how he or anyone else ever hated anime, and because of this he wants to share the amazing story telling, visual mastery, perfect romance, hilarious comedy, and well ecchi prowess that is anime with the world.
Why Anime?
Anime, to us, has been some of the best storytelling we have ever seen. The visuals alone far outpace what a film could do. The action looks crisper and the visual effects shine brighter. We truly love the craft of storytelling and the art of the animators who bring our favorite characters to life! We love the people behind the story just as much as the story itself!
What’s in Store?
We are friends who love anime and want to share the laughter, tears, and anger from these stories with all of you. Every Tuesday at 6 am we will release a new episode, sometimes we will take breaks, but we will warn you when we do. Every season, spring, summer, fall, and winter, we will choose 4/5 animes that are coming out that season and review them each week.
